Presentation to:
Arizona Motorcycle Safety Commission
State RFP's usually follow a stringent presentation format; 8.5x11, Helvetica 12/14 pt, single-sided, white paper with standard margins. This RFP had no specifications regarding submissions.
Using that to my advantage, I bought a motorcycle helmet and covered it with ad samples from every motorcycle campaign I'd worked on. The helmet was then used as the delivery box for the RFP response.
To answer their open-ended question, "What should a campaign cost?", I developed a complete motorcycle safety
campaign and bid each piece. This allowed the review committee to see medias they hadn't considered, actual pricing, and
additional creative thinking before there was even a final presentation date.
The results — I won the account.
